Alienscapes+ (2021). Microscapes
In the project “Alienscapes +. Microscapes ”the“ building ”of landscapes takes place in real time. The method is as follows: I film with a digital microscope details of abstract expressionism and at the same time i create a three-dimensional displacement (displace mapping) according to some parameters of the sound. (audioreactive visuals). So according to the above, I perform live, audiovisual performances and record them on video. This video is an editing result of 5 different excerpts from related performances. The last excerpt has been made using 2 softwares simultaneously, one for displace mapping (touch designer software) and the other for texture mapping with fractal patterns (fragment flow software). The spout software was used to transfer graphics between the 2 softwares in real time. The screen is divided into 3 frames. Above left is the microscope with my hand moving the painting (abstract expressionism), above right is the texture mapping, ie: what the microscope-camera shows, as the main screen shows the final result.
