Maria Tsvetkova (RU)
Maria Tsvetkova is a Russian film director and screenwriter, born in Moscow in 1982. In 2010 Maria graduated with honors from the screenwriting department VGIK named after S.A. Gerasimov and continued her postgraduate studies at VGIK at the Department of Screenwriting. In 2018 Maria entered the workshop of Directing a feature film at the Higher Courses of Screenwriters and Directors (VKSR), the workshop of V.I. Khotinenko, P.K. Finn, V.A. Fenchenko. And in 2021 she successfully defended her graduate work. Maria’s works have been presented at international film festivals such as: “MIFF”, “INTERNATIONAL ADANA GOLDEN BOLL FILM FESTIVAL”, “WOMEN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (WIFF)” and others. Maria Tsvetkova ‘s films became finalists and received awards at festivals such as:” INTERNATIONAL ADANA GOLDEN BOLL FILM FESTIVAL”, “Koncepciya” – in the nomination “best film” and “best screenplay”, etc.
