Fear
The bland title “Fear” is deliberate to evoke an equally bland approach. Fear transpires in almost every aspect of our lives. Would it be financial or emotional security, fear about our aspirations and dreams… Krishnamurti’s direct tackling of the psychological phenomena we call fear opens a necessary door for us to explore and deal with it, especially at this turbulent time when war is on our doorstep. Krishnamurtis speech was used as a conductor – contextual and emotional as well as rhythmical. Collaboration between Julius Zubavicius (LT/UK), Dalius Naujokaitis Naujo (LT/US) and Welf Dorr (DE/US) resulted in experimental jazz piece called FEAR, which then inspired lithuanian animator Antans Skucas (LT) to embody the piece in a visual domain. Purpose of the peace is to evoke a rational, healthy, emotionless inquiry into what actually is this thing we call fear, how much does it impact our relationships, our world perception. Dialogue about feelings – to understand and transcend them – is essential, even if it’s internal.
